2025 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 launched with tech upgrades, new colours

India Yamaha Motor has launched the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 with key technological upgrades and refreshed styling to elevate the popular street-naked motorcycle’s appeal.

Priced at Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard variant and Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) for the DLX variant, the updated MT-15 now comes equipped with a colour TFT display and Bluetooth-enabled Turn-by-Turn Navigation.

The MT-15 Version 2 DLX now features a colour TFT screen, offering smartphone connectivity through the Yamaha Y-Connect app. Riders can access features like maintenance recommendations, fuel consumption tracking, parking location, revs dashboard, malfunction alerts, and even a rider ranking system, enhancing the bike’s connected experience.

 The motorcycle also arrives in three new striking colour options: Ice Storm and Vivid Violet Metallic for the DLX trim, and Metallic Silver Cyan for the standard variant, adding to its aggressive streetfighter persona. The existing Metallic Black colour continues to be available.

Powering the MT-15 Version 2.0 is a 155cc liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 18.4bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm. A 6-speed gearbox paired with a slip and assist clutch for smoother shifts, while the traction control system enhances rider safety and confidence across varied road conditions.

According to the company, the Version 2 is Built on Yamaha’s patented Deltabox frame, the MT-15 continues to offer sharp handling dynamics, thanks to its MotoGP-inspired aluminium swingarm and lightweight 141 kg chassis. These elements ensure a blend of stability, agility, and everyday usability.

The 2025 update reflects our commitment to addressing these expectations-with advanced features and new youthful colours that enhance both visual appeal and rider engagement. With these updates, Yamaha continues to deliver motorcycles that resonate with young, dynamic riders seeking a balance of thrill and practicality.”

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 continues to evolve under Yamaha’s ‘Call of the Blue’ brand campaign, bringing together performance, style, and smart connectivity in a compact urban package.
