Ayushman Bharat Card Haryana: Registration Open For Senior Citizens; Here’s How To Apply For Rs 5 Lakh Free Treatment

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the initiative has been rolled out through the state health department. Civil Hospital, Narnaul, has started making Ayushman cards for senior citizens. According to Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Vijay Dabas, individuals can visit the Ayushman Bharat help desk at the hospital with their Aadhaar card and age proof on any working day between 8 AM and 2 PM.

This scheme is aimed at offering cashless medical care to the elderly in both government and empanelled private hospitals. In Mahendragarh district alone, 29 government and 30 private hospitals are part of the Ayushman Bharat network.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Step 1: Visit https://ayushmanup.in and scroll down to the “Quick Link” section. Click on ‘# Register Yourself on SETU’.

Step 2: You will be redirected to the SETU portal at https://setu.pmjay.gov.in/setu/.

Step 3: Fill in all the required fields in the registration form and click ‘Submit’.

Step 4: After successful registration, complete your KYC process. Wait for the competent authority to approve your application. Once approved, your Ayushman Card will be ready for download.

Step 5: Go to the ‘Download Ayushman Card’ option on the portal.

Step 6: Select your State, enter your Aadhaar number, and verify it using the OTP sent to your mobile.

Step 7: Click on ‘Download’ to get your Ayushman Card.

Dr Dabas stated that this scheme honours the elderly population, who have contributed to nation-building, by ensuring they receive the healthcare they deserve without financial stress. He added that the hospital staff is ready to assist senior citizens with the card registration process.

Ayushman Bharat Card Haryana: To make the process easier and more accessible, health officials also plan to organise camps at local levels soon. These camps will allow senior citizens to get their Ayushman cards made on the spot, eliminating the need to travel to hospitals.

Civil Surgeon Dr Ashok Kumar confirmed that the card registration drive will cover all eligible citizens aged 70 and above. The upcoming field camps are expected to fast-track the process and ensure wider coverage.

Authorities have urged all senior citizens in the district to take advantage of this opportunity to secure better healthcare without financial burden.
