Gurugram killer-father Deepak Yadav sent to judicial custody for two weeks

Gurugram killer-father: A Gurugram court on Saturday sent Deepak Yadav, accused of murdering his daughter Radhika Yadav, to 14 days of judicial custody. He has been lodged in Bhondsi jail.
The Gurugram Police produced Yadav before the court but did not seek his custodial remand. Following this, the court ordered his judicial custody.
Radhika, a 25-year-old former state-level tennis player, was shot dead on July 10 at her home in Gurugram by allegedly her father, Deepak Yadav, using his licenced revolver. The murder took place at their residence where Radhika lived with her parents.
Sources said Deepak told the police during interrogation that he was disturbed due to the taunts and had not slept for the past 15 days. He had become increasingly withdrawn, wandered restlessly in the house, and refused to speak even to his family members.
Since Radhika’s childhood, Deepak had spent over Rs 2.5 crore on her tennis training. However, an injury suffered two years ago kept her away from furthering her career in competitive tennis.
Gurugram killer-father:Radhika then took to training aspirants by booking tennis courts at different places. She also aspired to become a social media influencer, and amusic video featuring her was also releaseda year ago. She would also frequently create and upload reels on Instagram.
Deepak, however, was upset over her daughter’s social media presence. Sources said due to Deepak’s repeated pressure, Radhika had deleted all her social media accounts some time ago.
Deepak used to earn around Rs 15 lakh per year from his broker business. He used to tell his daughter to shut down the academy as he was earning enough for the family.
