KBC 17: Amitabh Bachchan returned with a new season of his quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ The 17th season premiered on Monday, August 11.
The very first contestant, Manavpreet Singh, joined Big B on the hot seat and played confidently until the Rs 25 lakh question, which he answered correctly.
However, when faced with the Rs 50 lakh question, he decided to quit as he didn’t know the answer.
So, what was the question that made him walk away?
“To which South American author did Rabindranath Tagore dedicate his poetry collection Purabi?” The options were A) Gabriela Mistral, B) Victoria Ocampo, C) Maria Luisa Bombal, D) Teresa de la Parra.

Ahead of the show, the veteran actor, in a statement, thanked the audience for showering love on the show.
