Cyclonic storm Senyar has intensified into a deep depression
The India Meteorological Department estimates that Cyclonic Storm Senyar has weakened into a deep depression over the Strait of Malacca and adjacent Northeast Indonesia. Another deep depression is over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent Sri Lankan coast. This is expected to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall to Tamil Nadu from November 27th to 30th, with isolated extremely heavy rainfall possible on November 28th and 29th. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema are also likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall from November 28th to December 1st, with isolated extremely heavy to very heavy rainfall possible on November 30th.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that cold weather may continue in other parts of the country. In Northwest India, minimum temperatures are expected to gradually increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two days, followed by a further decrease of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. In most parts of Central India, minimum temperatures are expected to gradually decrease by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two days, with no significant change thereafter. In Eastern India, minimum temperatures are expected to gradually increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next three days, with no significant change thereafter. In Western India, minimum temperatures are expected to remain unchanged for the next 24 hours, and a gradual decrease of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next four days.
Dense fog and cold wave warning
According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is likely to prevail in the mornings from November 28th to 30th in Himachal Pradesh and some areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi. Dense fog is also likely to occur in eastern Rajasthan from November 30th to December 1st. Dense fog may also occur in some areas of Punjab on November 28th and 29th. A cold wave is expected in Rajasthan from December 3rd to 4th.
