Allu Arjun Arrives in Tokyo Ahead of ‘Pushpa 2’ Japan Release

Ahead of the Japan release of his blockbuster hit “Pushpa: The Rule” on January 16, actor Allu Arjun has arrived in Tokyo to promote the action entertainer. Popularly known as the ‘Stylish Star’, Allu Arjun is gearing up to take the Pushpa fever global with the film’s Japanese debut.

AA welcomed fans with a charming postcard-style post from Tokyo on his official Instagram handle. The image, captioned simply “Tokyo”, showcased the city’s stunning skyline.

Earlier, the film’s Japanese distributor, Geek Pictures India, announced the release on its X (formerly Twitter) timeline, saying:
“Konnichiwa, Nihon no Tomo yo! Indian cinema’s industry hit is all set to set Japan on fire! Pushpa Raj will take over Japan on January 16, 2026, carrying the wildfire across borders and seas. #Pushpa2inJapan”

Franchise leading lady Rashmika Mandanna also shared the link to the Japanese trailer on social media, writing:
“Konnichiwa, Japan!! And the wildfire is officially going global… Pushpa lands in Japan on January 16, 2026. Are you ready?? Watch the full Japanese trailer here!”

Meanwhile, Pushpa director Sukumar celebrated his birthday on Sunday, and Allu Arjun marked the occasion with a heartfelt social media post. Calling it “a special day that changed his life,” AA shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the Pushpa sets with the filmmaker.

“Happy Birthday, @aryasukku darling. This is a special day for me… more than you… because this day changed my life. No wish can express how happy I am to have you in my life. Puttinanduku thanks!!!,” Allu Arjun wrote.

Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, the sequel continues the journey of Pushpa Raj—a man who, after losing everything, decides to take control of his destiny. As he strengthens his grip on the red sandalwood smuggling empire, he faces fresh threats from rivals and the police, pushing the saga to a new, intense level.
