CBI Probe Demanded in Hostel Student Death Case; MP Alleges Involvement of Leaders and Officials

Congress leader Pappu Yadav raises serious allegations of a sex racket in Patna following NEET student’s death

Patna: Purnia MP and Congress leader Pappu Yadav has demanded a CBI investigation following the death of a NEET student at a Patna hostel. He leveled serious allegations, claiming that a major sex racket operates in Patna involving lodges, politicians, and officials. The Congress leader also stated that he is prepared to approach the High Court to ensure justice for the victim’s family.

In an interview with a news agency, Pappu Yadav said that several ministers and politicians were present in Jehanabad recently, yet none went to console the grieving family. “All the leaders were busy in dirty political games. They only indulge in Hindu-Muslim politics,” he alleged.

Yadav further claimed that the student was sexually assaulted and that a private hospital later conspired with the accused to cover it up. “My concern is not just about the crime itself, but about who is behind it and how many influential people are involved. Why has no FIR been filed against the doctor who submitted the false report?” he asked.

He also accused local police officers of intimidating the victim’s family. According to Yadav, the police allegedly colluded with the accused to offer money to the family to keep silent.

The Congress leader alleged that a large sex racket operates across several lodges in Patna involving politicians and officials, with no monitoring or accountability. After the student’s death, Yadav claimed that the accused accessed files across multiple ministries, for which he has evidence. He asserted that several ministers and officials are implicated and reiterated his demand for a CBI investigation. “If necessary, I am ready to approach the High Court to ensure justice,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yadav supported statements made by singer A.R. Rahman, saying that cinema and cricket are being divided today. “Writers like Renuka and poets like Vidyapati have been segregated. Even satirical poets are being split along Hindu-Muslim lines. This divide, propagated by the government and political leadership, has now spread into cricket and the film industry as well,” he added.
