Police Pose as Customers, Bust Alleged Sex Racket Operating Under Spa Cover in Baddi
17 Women Rescued, Including Two Foreign Nationals; FIRs Registered Against Six Accused

Baddi: In a major crackdown on alleged immoral activities operating under the guise of spa services, police in Baddi carried out coordinated raids at four spa centres in the industrial town on Friday evening.
The operation was conducted at Big B Complex near Dawat Chowk under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Vinod Dhiman. Acting on repeated complaints about suspected illegal activities, police teams initiated discreet surveillance before sending personnel undercover as customers to verify the allegations.
Once confirmation was received, multiple teams simultaneously sealed the complex and raided A-One Spa Centre, The Gateway Salon and Spa Centre, The Relief Spa Centre, and Jannat Salon and Spa Centre.
17 Women Rescued
During the operation, a total of 17 women were rescued from the four locations, including two Thai nationals. All rescued women have been taken into protective custody and are undergoing counseling as per legal procedures. Authorities stated that necessary action will follow, after which they will be handed over to their families or relevant agencies.
Preliminary investigation suggests that some of the women were allegedly lured with job offers, while others reportedly belong to different states.
FIRs Registered Under ITP Act
Following the probe, police registered four separate FIRs at Baddi Police Station against six accused, including spa owners and managers, under Sections 3 and 4 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Officials have seized mobile phones, registers, and digital evidence related to online bookings to trace other links in the suspected network.
SP Vinod Dhiman stated that no form of illegal activity will be tolerated in Baddi district. He emphasized that strict action will continue against exploitation of women and human trafficking-related offenses.
The coordinated raid has sent a strong message across the industrial hub, signaling intensified monitoring of establishments suspected of operating beyond the law.
