BIG BREAKING: Congress “Books” Flight Ticket for PM Modi, Takes a Sharp Dig

Pawan Khera Urges PM to Visit Violence-Hit Manipur During Assam Tour

New Delhi: The Indian National Congress has launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Assam. Congress leader Pawan Khera shared a highly sarcastic post on X, urging the Prime Minister to visit violence-affected Manipur.

In his post, Khera took a swipe at the Prime Minister, saying, “Election-bound states are always your top priority, but Manipur should not be abandoned. The state has been burning since 2023, and it is burning again.”

Highlighting the short distance between the two northeastern states, he added, “You are in Assam today. Manipur is just an hour away from here. Please visit there as well. The Prime Minister’s presence could greatly reassure the people of Manipur.”

In a dramatic gesture, the Congress leader even shared a screenshot of a flight ticket, claiming it had been booked from Guwahati to Imphal for the Prime Minister. “For your convenience, we have booked a ticket from Guwahati to Imphal. You just need to board the flight. Since I don’t have your number, I am sharing the ticket here,” he wrote.

Khera also took a dig at the Centre’s PM CARES Fund, suggesting that the Prime Minister should personally visit Manipur to demonstrate genuine concern for the state.

Violence has continued intermittently in Manipur since 2023, with the Opposition repeatedly questioning the Central government’s handling of the situation. The government, however, maintains that efforts to restore peace are ongoing.

The Prime Minister’s Office has not issued an immediate response to the remarks. The unusual form of political protest has sparked intense debate on social media — with Congress supporters calling it a bold move to highlight Manipur’s plight, while critics have dismissed it as political theatrics.
