The incident took place in Natthupur village of the Rasra area, where 75-year-old Mahendra Chauhan had reportedly given two sacks of wheat to his daughter. This triggered anger in his son, identified as Pappu Chauhan, who got into an argument with his father.
What began as a verbal dispute soon escalated into a violent assault. In a fit of rage, the accused allegedly beat his father so brutally that he died on the spot.

When the victim’s wife tried to intervene and stop the fight, she too was assaulted by the accused and sustained serious injuries. She was later found lying near the body in a critical condition.

After the incident, local villagers informed the police. Upon reaching the spot, officers found Mahendra Chauhan’s lifeless body and his injured wife nearby. She was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s other son, Shukul Chauhan, the police registered a murder case and arrested the accused.
