ALLU ARJUN CASE: POLITICAL REACTIONS
Commenting on Allu Arjun being summoned, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla told reporters today, “The Congress party’s Telangana government is working with an emergency mentality. The person who threw stones at Allu Arjun’s house turned out to be a close associate of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and a member of the Kodangal Youth Congress.”
“This makes it clear that the Congress party is suffering from vendetta politics. They are also maybe going to the Supreme Court to get (Allu Arjun’s) interim bail cancelled. They are taking revenge on Allu Arjun for not campaigning for Congress,” he added.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Harish Rao also said, ” Today there are many issues including those of farmers, and minorities in Telangana but Chief Minister Revanth doesn’t find time for them. Instead, he is personally targeting Allu Arjun. If elections are held today, Congres candidates will lose their poll deposits also. Congress has not fulfilled any promises made during the campaigning.”
A separate complaint was registered against Allu Arjun and the producers and director Sukumar of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on Sunday in connection with a scene in the film. The complaint was filed by Congress leader and Telangana MLC Theenmar Mallanna demanding strict action against the film director, actor Allu Arjun, and the production team.
Reacting to the developments, Mallanna, while speaking exclusively to CNN-News18, said, “These kinds of scenes will create panic in the mind of viewers or the public. I would urge the creator to control such types of scenes.”
“The swimming pool scene is deliberately insulting the police officials. I have filed a complaint against the whole team about the issue, and have requested the police to take action against him. I also requested him to remove the scene from the movie,” he said.Russian cargo ship sank in Mediterranean Sea with two crew missing, foreign ministry says
