The stations along the new corridor will be spaced farther apart than usual, as several areas in the region are still developing. This move is part of BMRCL’s metro expansion plan, which will eventually extend Bengaluru’s metro network to a total of 467.69 km.

In another update, BMRCL recently announced that the preliminary works on Phase 3A are likely to commence in the upcoming months. The ambitious project will boost regional connectivity by connecting Sarjapur in the southeast to Hebbal in the north via the city centre. The metro line is likely to provide convenience to thousands of commuters by significantly cutting the travel time and reducing the traffic congestion. Apart from this, the metro line will also improve the financial activities in the region as it will pass through the key regions of Bengaluru.
