BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 Launched In India: Check Price, Features, Availability And More

Taiwanese tech brand BenQ has launched its new ScreenBar Halo 2 in India, aiming it squarely at professionals, creators and gamers who spend long hours in front of their monitors, often in lighting conditions that aren’t ideal.
The company says it spent nearly four years gathering user feedback and redesigning the product. The result is a monitor light bar that promises 423% wider coverage than the previous model, thanks to a completely reworked lighting system. If you’re considering an upgrade for your workspace, here’s a closer look at everything the new ScreenBar Halo 2 offers.
BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 Design And Features
Traditional desk lamps often create glare or cast shadows exactly where they’re not needed. BenQ says it wanted to eliminate these issues with the Halo 2 by using ASYM Light optical tech, which directs light at an 18-degree angle straight onto your desk, not your screen. This helps prevent reflections, reduces eye strain, and offers more even illumination while working or gaming in dim rooms.
The company also emphasised the precision behind its lighting system. According to JC Pan, Chief Product Designer at BenQ Smart Lighting, the redesigned controller was a key focus. The new wireless control dial, coated to resist fingerprints, allows smooth adjustments between 0-100% brightness and colour temperatures ranging from 2700K to 6500K, making it useful for tasks like video editing, content creation, or late-night productivity.
One of the biggest physical changes is the mounting system. Instead of traditional clips, BenQ has introduced a gravity-inspired zinc alloy mount that rests on top of monitors, including curved ones, without applying pressure that could damage the screen. As Judy Yang, Lead Mechanical Engineer at BenQ Smart Lighting, pointed out, the new design is meant to be gentler and more adaptable to different monitor types.
BenQ has also added several smart features to modernise the experience. There’s auto-dimming to adjust brightness based on ambient light, motion sensing that turns the lamp on when you return to your desk, and memory settings to save your preferred lighting profile.
The company has also teamed up with MINIMAL Design, the studio led by former Nike Global Creative Director Scott Wilson, to craft a sleek, metallic look that fits naturally into high-end home offices and creative setups. The light bar pairs especially well with BenQ’s PD, RD, MOBIUZ and MA monitor series.
