Bihar Polls 2025: NDA Banks on Migrant Vote Bank to Secure Victory

Bihar Polls 2025: With just eight months left for the Bihar assembly elections, political parties are ramping up efforts to woo voters.

While the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj are actively working on the ground, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) faces a tough challenge this time. The NDA has set an ambitious target of winning over 200 of the 243 seats, while the RJD is confident of securing power on its own.

Beyond Bihar’s traditional caste dynamics, the NDA is now focusing on migrant voters to gain an edge. Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey stated on Sunday that the NDA government is making significant efforts to connect with the large migrant Bihari population spread across the country.

Bihar Polls 2025: As part of this outreach, Bihar Diwas celebrations are being organized at 75 locations across multiple states between March 22 and 30. Dubey emphasized that these events aim to showcase Bihar’s development and seek the continued support of Bihari migrants, who number around two crore.

Although many migrants may not return to Bihar to vote, their influence on families back home can shape electoral outcomes. Dubey also reaffirmed the NDA’s strong alliance with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the JD(U), dismissing any speculation of rifts.

Bihar Polls 2025: Political analysts believe the BJP is leaving no stone unturned as the Bihar battle heats up. With new dynamics in play, every vote will count in the crucial elections set for November 2025.
