Citroen India Sees Quarter-on-Quarter Sales Increase in 2025
Citroen India recorded improved sales performance in the second half of 2025, with fourth-quarter volumes running at roughly three times those of the third quarter, according to the company.
The increase followed the rollout of its “Citroen 2.0 – Shift Into The New” strategy, announced in August 2025.
The strategy outlines plans to increase localisation, expand the dealer and service network, and adjust product and ownership offerings for the Indian market. Citroën said these measures contributed to higher domestic sales as well as increased export activity.
During 2025, vehicle exports from India rose by 18.8%, supported by demand from markets in Africa and ASEAN countries. The company said India continues to play a growing role as a manufacturing and export base within Stellantis’ global operations.
Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director of Stellantis India, stated that the focus on localisation, India-specific products, and wider customer access has supported sales momentum. He added that the Basalt model is planned to be included in Citroën’s global export portfolio starting in 2026.
Citroen expanded its product lineup in 2025 with refreshed and new models, including the C3 Dark Edition, Aircross, C3X, Basalt, and Aircross X. The company also introduced CARA, an in-car digital assistant, with the Basalt X. According to Citroen, the system is designed to support functions such as music control, navigation, hands-free calling, weather updates, reminders, web search, and flight tracking.
The company said these developments align with its broader efforts to strengthen product development, manufacturing, and technology operations in India.
