Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Voting Without A Voter ID? Here’s How You Can Cast Your Vote

Vote without Voter ID: As the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5 draw near, many voters may be concerned about not having a voter ID card.

However, it’s important to note that you can still cast your vote without one.

In this elections, more than 1.55 crore voters are eligible in the national capital, including around 25.89 lakh young voters and 2.08 lakh first-time voters under 19. While the Voter ID card (EPIC) is essential for identification during voting, the Election Commission of India (ECI) allows several other documents for voting.

If you don’t have a voter ID, you can bring any of the following documents to your polling booth:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Indian Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Bank/Post Office Passbooks with a photograph
  • Health insurance smart card issued by the Ministry of Labour
  • MNREGA Job Card
  • Smart card issued by RGI under NPR
  • Pension document with your photograph
  • Service identity card from the government or public sector
  • Official identity card from MPs, MLAs, or MLCs
  • Unique Disability ID (UDID) issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment

With voting scheduled till 6 pm, voters must ensure they carry one of the listed documents to the polling booth. This allows every eligible voter to participate in the democratic process, regardless of whether they possess a voter ID.
