Dhurandhar Surpasses Animal at the Box Office, Becomes India’s 10th Highest-Grossing Film
Ranveer Singh starrer crosses ₹560 crore in India, pushes Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal out of the top 10

Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has crossed the ₹560 crore mark at the Indian box office as of Monday, overtaking Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and securing its position as the 10th highest-grossing film in India.
On Sunday, the film collected approximately ₹555.75 crore, edging past Animal, which had a lifetime domestic collection of ₹553.87 crore. According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Animal has now slipped out of the top 10 list. The chart is currently led by Pushpa 2 with a massive collection of ₹1,234.1 crore, followed by Baahubali 2 at ₹1,030 crore.
Other films in the top 10 list include KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Kalki 2898 AD, Jawan, Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1, Chhaava, and Stree 2.
On Monday, Dhurandhar earned over ₹9 crore, though the final figures are still awaited.
The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles. Dhurandhar is set against the backdrop of Karachi’s Lyari neighbourhood and explores the interconnected lives of criminals, informers, and enforcers operating within the city’s underworld.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal was released in 2023.
Dhurandhar is produced by Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar under their banner B62 Studios, in collaboration with Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.
