Dubai Heat Throws Fresh Twist Into India Vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Clash

They will face off in the group stage on September 14 (Sunday). However, just days before the start of the mega continental tournament, there has been a major change in the schedule that will also affect the big clash between the two arch rivals.

In the earlier schedule released by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), all matches of the Asia Cup were scheduled to start at 7.30 PM IST. However, now the matches wil l take place 30 minutes later at 8 PM IST, including the India vs Pakistan clash, and all the Super Four games, and the final. This has been done due to the sweltering heat conditions in the UAE.

The opening match of the Asia Cup 2025 between hosts UAE and Oman will be the only match that is going to be taking place on its scheduled time at 5.30 PM IST on September 9.

Why India vs Pakistan Can Happen Thrice At Asia Cup 2025

India are set to face Pakistan in the Group Stage of the Asia Cup 2025 on September 14. If they both qualify for the Super Four stage of the tournament, then they are slated to face each other on September 21. If both India and Pakistan finish in the top four of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage, they will qualify for the final, which is to be held on September 28.

Hence, there is a chance that we can witness three India vs Pakistan matches in the Asia Cup 2025.
