New Delhi: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday said that government schemes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi have transformed India’s development journey by shifting the focus from women-centric welfare to women-led growth, ensuring dignity, safety, and greater participation of women in nation-building.

Puri was speaking after interacting with professionals, industry leaders, academicians, entrepreneurs, and students at the ‘Professionals Connect 2026’ conclave, organised by the Tamil Nadu BJP Professional Cell in Coimbatore.

Describing Coimbatore as a city that reflects enterprise, discipline, and quiet confidence, Puri underlined the broader vision of development being pursued under PM Modi’s leadership.

In a post on X, Puri wrote, “India’s efforts to achieve energy security by strengthening and expanding energy infrastructure across the entire hydrocarbon value chain, along with a strong focus on the green energy transition, are playing a crucial role in this journey towards a Viksit Bharat under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.”

He further said, “I have had the opportunity to be associated with several of PM Modi’s far-sighted initiatives that have improved people’s lives and attracted global attention. These initiatives have changed the narrative from women-centric development to women-led development.”

During the discussion, Puri emphasised the positive impact of reforms and policies introduced by the Modi government, stating that they have strengthened India’s growth story and placed the country firmly on the path to becoming the world’s third-largest economy.
