IPL 2025: As the IPL 2025 nears its resumption, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are preparing for a strong finish to an outstanding group stage campaign.
With 16 points in 11 matches, RCB are on the verge of qualifying for playoffs and will be up against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday (May 17).

The IPL 2025 took a brief hiatus last week. On May 9, IPL was suspended for a week due to the heightened tension between India and Pakistan following the Indian government-mediated Operation Sindoor, which caused mayhem to Pakistan’s terrorist shelters.
But following a ceasefire, the tournament is set to resume for the final phase, which will be conducted across six cities. Before IPL’s suspension, RCB roped in Mayank Agarwal to replace injured Devdutt Padikkal. Agarwal, who began his IPL journey with RCB back in 2011, was signed for ₹1 crore by the franchise.
On Thursday, RCB shared the first images of Agarwal in action for the franchise. Currently in Bengaluru, the players are preparing for the KKR match and the India batter was pictured playing a shot. The caption of the image heaped praises on the players, stating – ‘First practice session, and Mayank shows how good he is!’
The image has gone viral rapidly, with more than 1 Lakh likes in less than 30 minutes. At the time of publishing, the like counter says 1,01,434 in just half an hour. Agarwal is expected to be in contention for RCB in the final phases of the tournament.
IPL 2025: Agarwal’s IPL career spans 127 matches, during which he has amassed 2,661 runs at an average of 22.74 and a strike rate of 133.05. His record includes one century and 13 half-centuries, with a highest score of 106. His return is timely for RCB, who are aiming to secure a direct playoff berth.
