Jaishankar Says India Shouldn’t Be Unfairly Targeted In View of Ukraine War

External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar told his Finnish counterpart in a telephonic conversation that India should not be treated unfairly targeted in context to the Russia-Ukraine war as New Delhi has always advocated dialogue and diplomacy.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “Had a telecon today with Finnish Foreign Minister. Our discussions centred around the Ukraine conflict and its ramifications. India should not be unfairly targeted in that context. We have always advocated dialogue and diplomacy.”
The development has come on a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in China for the Shanghai Corporation Organisation (SCO) and would soon hold a bilateral with President Xi Jinping after 7 years, held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Putin, before his tomorrow’s meeting with Russian Premier Vladimir Putin.
