Jio Network Problem: Mobile Data, Calls Not Working for Thousands of Subscribers; Services Restored Later
Jio Network Problem:Reliance Jio users in Kerala are reporting widespread network disruptions, with thousands complaining of problems related to internet connectivity, mobile signals, and even Jio Fiber services.
The outage appears to have begun in the early afternoon of June 16, and the number of affected users has rapidly climbed since.
Update: The service has been restored.
The first signs of the issue appeared around 1:30 PM, when about 200 users reported problems accessing Jio’s network, according to data from Downdetector. By 2:17 PM, that number had jumped to over 12,000. Most of the complaints are related to internet disruptions, with nearly 56% of users facing issues with mobile data. Meanwhile, 29% are reportedly struggling with mobile network reception, and around 15% are encountering problems with Jio Fiber.
Jio Network Problem:On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), frustrated users have been sharing screenshots showing “No Service” messages and blank signal bars on their phones. Many are tagging the company’s official handle and demanding an explanation. As of now, however, Reliance Jio has not released any official statement regarding the outage or its cause.
The issue seems to be affecting users in multiple regions, although it is still unclear whether the problem is nationwide or limited to specific zones. While Jio has faced minor outages in the past, the scale and sudden rise in complaints suggest a more serious technical hiccup this time.
