Kashmir Terror Attack: In the wake of the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where 26 tourists lost their lives, Indian security forces have intensified their crackdown on terrorist networks operating in Jammu and Kashmir.
As part of these operations, the residences of two terrorists – one affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Asif Sheikh and the other with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Adil Hussain Thokar – were demolished during search operations in Kashmir’s Tral. The JeM operative is believed to have been directly involved in orchestrating the Pahalgam terror attack, which targeted Hindu tourists and was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of LeT .
Kashmir Terror Attack: Jammu and Kashmir police identified four terrorists as Ali Bhai alias Talha (Pakistani), Asif Fauji (Pakistani), Adil Hussain Thoker (a resident of Anantnag) and Ahsan (a resident of Pulwama). Three terrorists are suspected to have carried out the deadly attack and they used specific names to cover their identities.Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha, all of whom are believed to be The Resistance Front (TRF) operatives, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) proxy. They used code names Moosa, Yunus, and Asif. They were reportedly also active in Poonch and had a history of executing terror strikes in the region. Survivors recalled that the attackers were dressed as Indian Army personnel, demanded victims reveal their religion and recite Islamic verses before they opened fire and killed 28 people.Sources have told Times Now that Saifullah Sajid Jutt, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, is the mastermind. Also known as Saifullah Kasuri, the 45-year-old is a native of Pakistan’s Punjab province and operates from an LeT base in Islamabad.
Described by the NIA as a “hardcore terrorist,” he is known for using charity fronts and ISI links to fund terror operations.Another key suspect, Aasif Sheikh Tanzeem of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), has been identified as one of the gunmen who carried out the attack.
