KKR Unveils New Jersey Ahead of IPL 2026 Season

Three-time IPL champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, launched their new jersey on Saturday ahead of the IPL 2026 season. The jersey has been designed around the theme “Lines of Legacy.”
The Kolkata franchise is one of the most popular teams in the IPL and has built a legacy based on memorable moments that have defined its journey so far. From Brendon McCullum’s explosive 158* on the very first day of the IPL in 2008 to Rinku Singh hitting five consecutive sixes in a thrilling final-over finish, the team has consistently delivered unforgettable performances that are now etched in IPL history.
Each memorable moment is like a “line” in the team’s star-studded story; and when all these lines come together, they form the letters K-K-R in the style of abstract linear art.
This season, these lines are not just being remembered—they are woven into the jersey itself, allowing fans to wear a piece of the team’s story.
At the jersey launch, Night Riders Sports CEO Venky Mysore said:
“The ‘Lines of Legacy’ represents the core essence of KKR’s glorious history and celebrates the journey the team has made over the years. Each line symbolizes a remarkable moment, reflecting the energy and spirit that define who we are. We take pride in this legacy we have built through our efforts, and we want to carry it forward into the upcoming season to create many more memorable moments for our fans.”
Speaking about the campaign film around the new jersey—which blends humor with pop culture—Night Riders Sports CMO Binda Dey said:
“Through our film ‘Kya Line Hai?’ featuring actor Rajat Bedi, comedian Anirban Dasgupta, and other popular content creators from Kolkata, we wanted to bring the idea of ‘Lines of Legacy’ to life and celebrate the moments that define KKR’s journey. This campaign invites fans to be part of the story as we move into a new season. By collaborating with local influencers and content creators in Kolkata, we are bringing this legacy to fans in a fun and authentic way.”
