Mahindra Shares First-Year Data on XEV 9e and BE 6 Electric SUVs

Mahindra has released its first-year performance data for the Electric Origin SUV lineup, comprising the XEV 9e and BE 6, marking one year since their debut last November.

The company reports exceptionally strong public interest, with the SUVs generating over 4 billion online views across digital platforms during their launch phase.

Early ownership data suggests that customers are using these electric SUVs as their primary vehicles. According to Mahindra, more than 65% of owners drive their Electric Origin SUVs daily, reflecting strong confidence in long-term usability. Over 1,000 units have already crossed the 20,000 km milestone, while some vehicles have logged more than 50,000 km within just seven months of ownership.

The internal data also reveals that nearly 70% of owners drive over 1,000 km per month, and around 10% exceed 3,000 km monthly. Mahindra adds that approximately 60% of the SUVs are achieving over 500 km of city driving range, based on internal assessments.

The vehicles have been driven in extreme conditions-from 4°C in Leh to 53°C in the Thar region. Long-distance usage is also growing, with around 30% completing 400 km single-day trips, and some owners traveling across up to ten states.

Mahindra confirms that cumulative sales for the Electric Origin SUVs have crossed 30,000 units within just seven months-averaging one unit sold every ten minutes.
