Maiya Samman Yojna: Jharkhand Women Get Rs 2,500 Aid Ahead Of Rakshan Bandhan, Know How To Check Payment Status
Maiya Samman Yojna: Just days ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival, the Jharkhand government has transferred Rs 2,500 June installment of the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojna to the beneficiaries in Dhanbad district.
Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Aditya Ranjan said that a total amount of Rs 87 crore 79 lakh 47 thousand 500 has been transferred to 3,51,179 beneficiaries in the district.
Under the Maiya Samman Scheme, honorarium has also been paid to the beneficiaries of the district in the month of May. He said that this scheme has been started by the state government to provide a financially independent and respectable life to women, under which an honorarium of Rs. 2500 is given to the beneficiary women every month.
The scheme was lauded by the World Bank a few days ago. This was mentioned during a high-level delegation led by World Bank’s India-based Country Director Auguste Tano Kouame’s meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Kouame lauded the Mukhyamantri Mainiyan Samman Yojana and termed it an important step towards economic empowerment of women and poverty alleviation in the state.
According to the eligibility criteria of the scheme, all women residents of Jharkhand between the age of 18 and 50 will get the aid directly into their bank accounts.
Under the scheme, about 52 lakh women of the state are being given an amount of Rs 2500 every month. Earlier this amount was Rs 1000, which was increased to Rs 2500 from December 2024.
How to check payment status?
-Visit the official website of Maiya Samman Yojana: https://mmmsy.jharkhand.gov.in/
-Click on the “Login” option present on the home page.
-A new page will open, login to the portal by filling in the login ID and password.
-After logging in, click on the option of “Application and Payment Status”.
-Fill in your application number and mobile number and click on the “Get OTP” button.
-Enter the OTP and verify it.
-The payment information of every installment will be visible.
The beneficiaries can also check payment status by visiting their bank branch and getting their transaction details via passbook or account statements.
