Mamata Banerjee Is Creating Drama Out of Fear of Defeat: Dilip Ghosh

Malda:
BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has launched a sharp attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of indulging in “drama” out of fear of losing power. During his visit to Malda, Ghosh interacted with local residents over tea and discussed the upcoming elections, while also commenting on Mamata Banerjee’s recent visit to Delhi and the ongoing SIR process.

Speaking to a news agency, Dilip Ghosh questioned why the Chief Minister travelled to Delhi at a time when the SIR process was underway in West Bengal. He claimed that Mamata Banerjee has realised that if the SIR is conducted properly, she will not be able to return to power. “That is why she has gone to Delhi and is creating unnecessary drama,” he alleged.

Ghosh said that a meeting in Delhi lasted for about one and a half hours, and as soon as Mamata Banerjee came out, she began making statements. He asserted that there is no real problem with the SIR process, but alleged that her party workers are harassing BLOs (Booth Level Officers). According to him, the process is being deliberately made complicated so that it cannot be completed on time.

The BJP leader further stated that just as the Election Commission successfully completed the SIR process in Bihar, it would also be carried out smoothly in West Bengal. “Similar results to Bihar will be seen in West Bengal as well,” he said.

Meanwhile, reacting to Mamata Banerjee’s meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner in Delhi, Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav, came out in her support. Praising the West Bengal Chief Minister, he said, “Mamata is the Rani of Jhansi, and she knows how to fight.”

While the BJP continues to question Mamata Banerjee over the SIR process, voices of support for the Chief Minister have also begun to emerge from various quarters.
