NEET UG 2025: 130% increase in MBBS seats
He said that in the year 2014, there were a total of 387 medical colleges in the country. With an increase of 101.5 percent, their number has now increased to 780. Apart from this, there were 51348 MBBS seats in the year 2014. With an increase of 130 percent, their number has now increased to 1 lakh 18 thousand 190. He said that medical PG seats have also increased by 138 percent to 74 thousand 306. A total of 13436 medical seats have been added during the academic session 2024-25.
