He went on to add that the portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery in Chhaava had captivated the nation, bringing his legacy to a larger audience. “The introduction of Sambhaji Maharaj’s valour in this form has been made by Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel,” he explained.

Vicky Kaushal stars in the lead role of Sambhaji Maharaj, with Rashmika Mandanna portraying Yesubai Bhonsale, his wife. Other notable cast members include Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai.
