Raid 2 box office Day 8:’Raid 2′ has got a clear window to run smoothly at the box office, in the absence of any new releases. However, the film seems to have been impacted by the escalating tension between India-Pakistan since Wednesday.

The film, which began its weekday run at Rs 7.5 crore nett, dropped to Rs 4.75 crore nett on Wednesday.

After eight days at the box office, the Raj Kumar Gupta directorial stands at Rs 95.65 crore nett. While it’s not a dull figure, the film was expected to surpass the benchmark of Rs 100 crore by the end of its first week. It will still achieve the feat, but high alerts and drone attacks have slowed down its pace.

Raid 2 box office Day 8:’Raid 2′ was going to face a challenge from ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’. However, the Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer is now avoiding a theatrical release, and is coming directly on OTT next week. The decision was taken by the makers following the situation in the country, making watching a film in theatres the last thing on people’s minds.
