With the launch of Galaxy S25 series, Samsung has also announced new and updated AI features. At the event, the company emphasised a lot on AI integration across the Galaxy S25 series phones. The new Galaxy AI features multimodal agents, seamless app integrations, and tools for enhanced productivity and creativity.
Personalised and context-aware AI
Galaxy AI offers a personalised experience powered by on-device processing through the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. Multimodal AI agents interpret text, speech, images, and videos, enabling natural and intuitive interactions. For example, users can search for specific photos using natural language commands or adjust settings with simple voice prompts.
Google’s Circle to Search, enhanced with AI, provides actionable context-aware suggestions. It quickly identifies phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs on the screen, allowing users to call, email, or visit websites with a single tap. Galaxy AI also offers intelligent app switching, letting users seamlessly transition between tasks like sharing a GIF or saving event details.
Gemini Live integration
One of the biggest highlights of the S25 series phones is the integration of Gemini Live. Samsung’s updated AI assistant, which integrates deeply with Samsung and Google apps as well as third-party platforms like Spotify. With a single voice command, users can complete tasks like checking a sports team’s schedule and adding events to Samsung Calendar without leaving the app.
Enhanced creativity and productivity
Galaxy AI includes innovative tools such as Call Transcript, which organizes and summarizes calls, and Writing Assist, which formats notes and summarises content without switching between apps. Drawing Assist lets users combine sketches, text, and image prompts for creative projects.
Privacy-focused AI
The Personal Data Engine ensures that all Galaxy AI features prioritize user privacy by processing data on-device. This ensures personalized experiences like proactive suggestions through Now Brief while keeping sensitive.
