Shivraj Singh Chouhan Leaves Wife Behind In Gujarat, Returns With 22-Car Convoy After 10 Minutes

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gained unexpected attention on the internet as he left for Rajkot, unknowingly leaving his wife, Sadhna Singh, behind at the Gujarat event in a hurry on Saturday.

After travelling for around 10 minutes, he realised his wife was not with him. Then he immediately called her, returned with a convoy of 22 vehicles to fetch her and left for Rajkot with his wife.

What Led To The Strange Incident?

The Union Minister was on a religious and an official day-long tour to Gujarat on Saturday. During his visit, he went to Somnath Jyotirlinga temple and Gir National Park in Junagadh with his wife. Later in the day, he was scheduled to interact with the Peanut Research Centre farmers and Lakhpati Didi beneficiaries. On the other hand, he was also scheduled to take a flight from Rajkot at around 8 o’clock on the same day. Due to the tight schedule, he was in a hurry, according to the report by Dainik Bhaskar.

He visited the Peanut Research Centre and reviewed the work with the staff while his wife was sitting in the waiting house. After the research centre visit, he interacted with the beneficiaries of the Lakhpati Didi scheme. He kept looking at his watch again and again. While speaking at a program, he said, “The road to Rajkot is bad; next time I will come leisurely.”

As Chouhan was in a hurry to catch his flight from Rajkot, he cut short his speech and hurriedly left for Rajkot with a 22-vehicle convoy, unknowingly leaving his wife behind, the report said. His wife, Sadhna, returned from her Girnar visit and was waiting for him in the waiting house.

He realised after 10 minutes of travelling that he had left his wife behind. He returned to Junagadh in his 22-vehicle convoy and left for Rajkot with his wife.
