Shoojit Sircar on I Want To Talk’s failure: Box office collection disturbs you

Director Shoojit Sircar recently opened up about the failure of his most recent film, I Want To Talk. During a chat with NDTV, Sircar talked about how theAbhishek Bachchan-led movie did not work at the box-office.
The filmmaker explained how he was ‘completely disoriented’ after I Want To Talk. “I want to make films as long as I can make them on my terms and with the vision I have. And sometimes, it disturbs you. I was completely disoriented because I did not know what exactly did or did not work in terms of audiences going to the theatre. But now, the film is also on OTT, and I see a lot of people reacting to it. It is very difficult for me to explain. But yes, box office collection disturbs you,” he said.
Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under the banner of Rising Sun Films, I Want To Talk stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead, along with Ahilya Bamroo, Jayant Kriplani, Johnny Lever, Pearle Dey, and Kristin Goddard in pivotal roles.
