A Flavorful Twist to Your Regular Raita Recipe

Tadke Wala Boondi Raita: You must have tried cucumber, carrot, bottle gourd, or onion raita before. But if you want to experiment with a different flavor, tempered Boondi Raita is a great option. This raita is easy to prepare and offers a bold, delicious taste that perfectly complements your meals. In this article, we’ll show you how to make something unique beyond the usual plain raita at home.

Ingredients for Tadke Wala Boondi Raita

  • Boondi – 1 cup

  • Yogurt (curd) – 2 cups

  • Green chilies – 1–2, finely chopped

  • Fresh coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons, finely chopped

  • Red chili powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Roasted cumin powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Oil – 1 tablespoon

  • Black salt – ½ teaspoon

  • Curry leaves – 8–10

  • Dry red chili – 1

How to Prepare Tadke Wala Boondi Raita

  1. Take yogurt in a bowl and whisk it well until smooth and creamy.

  2. Add the boondi to the yogurt and gently mix so that the boondi does not break.

  3. Now add salt, red chili powder, black salt, finely chopped green chilies, and roasted cumin powder. Mix everything thoroughly.

  4. To prepare the tempering (tadka), heat oil in a small pan. Once hot, add curry leaves and a pinch of red chili powder (or the dry red chili). Let the spices crackle.

  5. Pour this hot tempering over the prepared raita and mix lightly.

  6. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Your spicy and flavorful Tadke Wala Boondi Raita is ready to serve. Enjoy it chilled with parathas, pulao, or any festive meal.
