Valentine’s Day Horror: Couple Found Shot Dead Inside Locked Car in Noida

Noida: In a shocking incident on Valentine’s Day, a young couple was found dead inside a locked car in Noida, sending waves of panic across the area.

The incident came to light in the Sector-39 police station area near Sector-107, Dadri Road, close to Pillar No. 84. According to police, a car bearing registration number DL14CL6473 was found parked at the spot on Saturday afternoon. Locals reportedly heard a loud sound earlier and later noticed the motionless bodies inside the vehicle, after which police were informed.

Pistol Found in Man’s Hand

When officers from Noida Police reached the scene and inspected the vehicle, they discovered a man and a woman inside with gunshot wounds to their heads. A pistol was found in the man’s hand, and the car was locked from the inside.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the man allegedly shot the woman before turning the weapon on himself. However, officials stated that the exact sequence of events will be confirmed after a detailed forensic examination.

Identities Revealed

Based on identification documents recovered from the scene, the deceased have been identified as Sumit (32), a resident of Trilokpuri in Delhi, and Rekha (26), a resident of Salarpur in Sector-101, Noida. Both had reportedly been missing since Friday evening. Their families have been informed.

Police officials, along with senior officers and a forensic team, inspected the crime scene. The bodies have been sent for postmortem after completing necessary legal formalities.

Authorities stated that, prima facie, the case appears to be a suicide following a shooting, but all angles are being investigated. Law and order in the area remains under control as further legal proceedings continue.

The tragic incident has cast a dark shadow over Valentine’s Day celebrations in the city, leaving residents stunned and raising questions about the circumstances that led to the fatal act.
