Vice President Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Army Day

Nation Salutes the Courage and Sacrifice of Indian Soldiers

New Delhi: Across India, Army Day was celebrated on Thursday with great pride and respect. On this occasion, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan paid tribute to the courage, discipline, and dedication of the Indian Army.

He highlighted that Indian soldiers are symbols of selfless service, standing firm in all circumstances to protect the nation. The Vice President also honored the brave soldiers who laid down their lives while performing their duties.

On his social media account X, Vice President Radhakrishnan posted:
“On Army Day, I salute the brave officers, soldiers, and veterans of the Indian Army. Their unwavering courage, discipline, and supreme sacrifice in defending the country inspire every citizen. We honor their selfless service and steadfast commitment to India’s unity and integrity. On this sacred day, we remember with deep gratitude the heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty.”

Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings to army personnel and their families. In his post, he said:
“Heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Army personnel and their families on Army Day. The bravery of our soldiers is etched in the pages of history, igniting the flame of patriotism in every generation. I salute all those courageous soldiers who dedicate everything to serve the nation. Alongside them, their families are equal partners in service, standing strong in every challenging moment while supporting their loved ones devoted to the country.”

Across the country, numerous programs were organized to commemorate the day, as citizens paid homage to the valor, sacrifice, and dedication of India’s armed forces.
