Vijay Deverakonda Wants To ‘Give Tight Slap’ To Aurangzeb After Watching Chhaava

Actor Vijay Deverakonda was the guest of honor at the pre-release event of Suriya’s upcoming film Retro in Hyderabad this past weekend.

During the event, Vijay shared some candid thoughts, including his reaction to watching the film Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna, which left him feeling deeply enraged.

Vijay Deverakonda Talks About His ‘Enraging’ Experience Watching Chhaava

When asked by anchor Suma if there was anyone from the past he would like to meet, Vijay didn’t hold back. He humorously but passionately responded, “I want to meet the British and give them two tight slaps. I recently watched Chhaava, and it enraged me. I’d probably take the opportunity to give Aurangzeb two to three tight slaps also. I want to meet so many others like that, just to hit them. Right now, it’s all I can think of.”

Suriya, who appeared amused by Vijay’s response, was also asked the same question. The Kaakha Kaakha actor replied, “I don’t miss anyone, so I don’t know whom I’d go back in time for.”

When asked which legendary actresses he would have liked to work with if given the chance to go back in time, Vijay named Simran, Sonali Bendre, and even Jyotika. However, he hesitated slightly, acknowledging, “She’s married to Suriya.”

Vijay’s Upcoming Projects

Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in the 2024 film The Family Star alongside Mrunal Thakur, which received mixed reviews. He also made a cameo appearance as Arjuna in Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, which was well-received. Currently, Vijay is busy with several projects, including Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, and an untitled film with director Rahul Sankrithyan.

Suriya’s Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, will be released in theatres on May 1. During the event, Suriya also revealed that he will soon begin work on a Telugu film directed by Venky Atluri, which will be produced by Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments.
