Watch: Dhurandhar Viral Dance Featuring Akshaye Khanna Gets Delhi Police Twist, But With a Social Cause

The Delhi Police has tapped into a popular Bollywood moment to deliver an impactful message about the dangers of drug misuse. Using a viral dance sequence by Akshaye Khanna, the awareness clip contrasts the deceptive sense of confidence associated with substance use and the grim consequences that often follow.
A Viral Moment Reimagined for Awareness
The video opens with a trending scene from Aditya Dhar’s recent release Dhurandhar. In it, Akshaye Khanna appears as Rehman Dakait, a feared yet stylish Pakistani gangster. He strides out of a car, greets his men with ease and bursts into an effortless dance to the Bahrain based rap track Fa9la by Flipperachi. The moment captures swagger and complete command, accompanied by an overlay that reads, “What you think you look like when high.”
The mood shifts sharply in the next frame. A clip from another film shows Khanna collapsed on the ground, drenched in sweat and visibly distressed. The text on screen reads, “But here’s where you actually end up,” drawing a clear contrast between illusion and reality.
Drug’s high might feel real, but it’s an illusion.

Delhi Police’s Message on Substance Abuse
Taking to X, the Delhi Police amplified the waring. “Do not lose control of your life as drugs only offer an illusion.” They further added, “Drug’s high might feel real, but it’s an illusion. Do not trade your truth for a moment’s delusion.”
Their use of a pop culture moment aims to connect with younger audiences while urging them to stay away from harmful substances.
Dhurandhar’s Cinematic Universe Grows
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues its theatrical run as a high energy spy action thriller led by Ranveer Singh, with Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. The film marks the first chapter of a two part franchise, with Dhurandhar Part 2 scheduled for an Eid 2026 release.
