In a dramatic turn of events during the IPL 2025 clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Digvesh Rathi again performed a notebook celebration after taking a big wicket of RCB’s stand in skipper Jitesh Sharma.

However, it didn’t ended well for the LSG spinner as it turned out to be back-foot no ball and LSG missed a big chance to take an important wicket of RCB

Jitesh Sharma, who almost lost his wicket, got another chance and smashed Rathi for a huge six on a free hit. With this, Jitesh also completed his half-century and kept the run chase alive. The wicket-keeper batters smashed an unbeaten on 85*(33) as RCB chased the target of 228 runs to achieve their highest successful chase in IPL history.

Talking about the match, RCB registered a thrilling six-wicket win over LSG to end their league stage with nine wins. With this win, RCB also ended at the top-two in the points table and will now face Punjab Kings in the first qualifier in Mullanpur on May 29. Batting first, LSG posted a massive 22/7 on board with skipper Rishabh Pant smashing an unbeaten 118*(61) runs.

Chasing a huge target, RCB got a flying start as Phil Salt and Virat Kohli added 61 runs for the first wicket in 5.4 overs. Salt got out after scoring 30(19) runs while Kohli scored 54 runs off 30 balls. However, RCB got a mini heart attack after a great start as they were reduced to 123/4 after 11.2 overs. After that, Jitesh Sharma and Mayank Agarwal took charge of the innings and put up an unbeaten partnership of 107 runs for the fifth wicket.

Agarwal remained unbeaten on 41(23) runs hitting five boundaries while Jitesh smashed 85 runs off 33 balls hitting eight fours and six sixes. Jitesh smashed a six to finish things off for RCB as the men in Red and Gold registered a famous win.
