WATCH: On Ram Navami, ‘Surya Tilak’ Lights Up Ram Lalla’s Forehead In Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir

Ayodhya: ‘Surya Tilak’ illuminated Ram Lalla’s forehead at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Ram Navami.’Surya Tilak’ occurred exactly at 12 noon on Sunday when a beam of sunlight was precisely directed onto the forehead of the idol of Ram Lalla, forming a celestial tilak.

Every Ram Navami, an intricate network of lenses and mirrors are used to channel a ray of sunlight in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and converged on the forehead of Ram Lalla as ‘Surya Tilak’. The event on the ninth day of the Chaitra month will mark Lord Ram’s birth.
