Patel, born to Gujarati parents in New York in 1980, was sworn in as the ninth FBI Director on Friday at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi administered the oath following his narrow Senate confirmation (51-49). His family and girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, attended the ceremony.
Dressed in an all-white outfit, Wilkins held the Bhagavad Gita for Patel as he took his oath. She later shared a video of the event on social media. During his speech, Patel acknowledged her, saying, “My beautiful girlfriend Alexis is here,” prompting cheers from the audience.
Who is Alexis Wilkins?
Wilkins, 26, is a rising country music star and a key conservative voice. She serves as press secretary for Arizona Republican Representative Abe Hamadeh. Born in 1999, she spent her early years in England and Switzerland before settling in Arkansas. A Belmont University graduate, she pursued country music in Nashville, writing her first song at age eight.
Her 2020 EP Grit reached No. 4 on iTunes, while Country Back peaked at No. 2 on the iTunes Country Chart. She has performed alongside Lee Greenwood, known for God Bless The USA.
