Who Is Saiyaara Singer Faheem Abdullah? How His 2-Week Trip Landed Him In Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara Movie?

Saiyaara has hit the ball out of the park with its extraordinary box office collection. It’s safe to say that the movie is already a blockbuster.

Apart from a fresh casting starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Mohit Suri’s directorial has a special USP – its music. The title track of the movie has stirred the internet with numerous reels circulating with the Saiyaara song. While Vishal Mishra has sung most of the songs, Tanishk Bagchi has composed most of them. Saiyaara features brand new vocals from Faheem Abdullah, who has no contacts in the film industry and still managed to shine bright with his talent.

Faheem Abdullah’s soulful voice has created a magical impact on the audience. He has composed the song with his longtime music companion, Arslan Nizami. Arslan Nizami recently talked to Hindustan Times and revealed that he had quit his job and convinced Faheem to try their luck in Mumbai. With no filmy connections, the duo managed to leave a long-lasting impact on the audience.

Arslan Nizami was working as a civil engineer near Leh and moonlighting as a songwriter and composer. He would collaborate with Faheem, who earlier went by The Imaginary Poet, before shedding his stage name earlier this year. Arslan got candid during the interview and revealed, “I always used to write and pen down songs. One day, I spoke to Faheem (his collaborator), saying ‘Hamara music baahar pahunch nahi raha hai’ (our music is not going out). Someone needs to get out and do that.”

“The same day, I resigned from my job and went to Faheem and said, ‘Let’s do it.’ I really wanted to give our music a chance,” he added. “The most difficult thing was to explain this to my parents. They are Kashmiri parents, who believe in stability and a good job,” Arslan stated.

Both the singers pooled their savings and went on a 14-day trip to Mumbai. “We realised that we had enough money for 14 days in Mumbai. So we gave themselves those 14 days in the city,” Faheem recalled. On the 13th day, they met Tanishk Bagchi and the rest is history. The duo also shared that they never thought of doing a song for a movie, and expressed their gratitude for the same.
