You can soon watch Nasa’s spacewalks, rocket launches LIVE on Netflix

Nasa is set to make space exploration more accessible than ever before, announcing a landmark partnership with Netflix to stream its Nasa+ live programming directly to the streaming giant’s 700 million global subscribers starting this summer.LIVE on Netflix
The collaboration will allow viewers to watch live rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission coverage, and real-time, high-definition views of Earth from the International Space Station (ISS)-all from the comfort of their own homes or on the go.
Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of Nasa+, emphasised the agency’s mission to reach the widest possible audience: “The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience. Together, we’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration- inspiring new generations-right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone”.
The move comes as Nasa seeks to expand its digital footprint and engage a new generation of space enthusiasts in a rapidly evolving media landscape.LIVE on Netflix
Nasa+-the agency’s ad-free streaming platform launched in 2023-has previously been available for free via the Nasa app and website.
With its debut on Netflix, the agency hopes to inspire millions more by integrating its content into one of the world’s most popular streaming ecosystems.

Subscribers will be able to access Nasa+ content at no additional cost, seamlessly alongside their favourite shows and movies. Nasa+ will remain free and ad-free on the Nasa app and Nasa.gov, ensuring multiple access points for the public.
