November turned out to be one of the most difficult months for the industry. The month began with concern when veteran actor Dharmendra was hospitalised after experiencing breathing difficulties. Weeks later, that concern turned into profound grief for the Deol family and millions of fans.
Bollywood’s original “He-Man,” Dharmendra—whose towering screen presence defined an era—passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. His death marked the end of a glorious chapter in Indian cinema.
Just weeks before Dharmendra’s demise, the industry suffered another shocking loss. Veteran actress and singer Sulakshana Pandit, remembered for sharing screen space with legends like Vinod Khanna, Shashi Kapoor, and Rajesh Khanna, passed away on November 7. The back-to-back losses turned November into a period of collective sorrow.
2025 Yearender:October 2025: Tears and Tributes
October was equally heart-wrenching. The industry bid farewell to television and film actor Pankaj Dheer—fondly remembered as Karna from Mahabharat—and acclaimed actor Satish Kaushik, who immortalised the lovable Indravardan Sarabhai in the cult sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Their deaths on October 15 and October 25 deepened the sense of loss across the entertainment world.
September 2025: A Sudden Silence
September added to the heartbreak with the sudden passing of singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore. Known for his powerful voice and versatile work across Hindi, Bengali, and Assamese music, Zubeen passed away on September 19 at the age of 52. His untimely death shocked the industry and devastated fans nationwide, leaving a silence that echoed far beyond the world of music.
