Deepika Padukone joins Prabhas in Sandeep Vanga’s Spirit

. After taking a much-needed break from acting, Padukone is said to have received a massive pay cheque for her role in this highly anticipated film.

While the buzz around Prabhas’s ‘Spirit’ is already sky-high, it’s Deepika’s fee that has caught everyone’s attention. According to a source close to India Today Digital, Deepika is being paid a whopping amount that places her among the highest-paid actor in the country.

While the exact figure hasn’t been confirmed officially, insiders suggest it runs into tens of crores, and it is a figure that is almost three times higher than what Ranveer Singh drew from his recent films – making it one of the biggest paydays for a female actor in Indian cinema.

In the past, other actors reported to be commanding a hefty remuneration include the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt.
