Gujarat Weather Update: Red Alert In Banaskantha, Sabarkantha; Orange Alert In Multiple Areas As IMD Forecasts Heavy Rain For 5 Days

Gujarat Weather Update: Gujarat Weather Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alert in two Gujarat districts as rain csontinue to lash the state.
According to weather department, region braces for heavy rainfall for next 5 days starting Saturda, June 21. Banaskantha, Sabarkantha districts of Gujarat are under red alert for extremely heavy rain at few places with extreme thunderstorms and lightning at isolated locations.
Orange Alert In 15 District For Heavy Rain
The weather department has suggested intense probability of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places with thunderstorms and lightning in majority of the districts in the state. Kutch, Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Surendranagar, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad are likely to witness heavy rainfall as part of the monsoon rain.
Gujarat Weather Update: Several other districts including Morbi, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Botad, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur and Bharuch have been place under a yellow weather alert for heavy rain at isolated places with thunderstorms and lighting. The IMD weather release issued at 1 pm on Saturday has placed all the districts in the state under one or another alert for extremely heavy rainfall to heavy rainfall in scattered areas.
Gujarat Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain To Persist For Next Four Days
According to the Meteorological Department, on June 22, very heavy rainfall is expected at scattered places in Kutch, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Navsari, and Valsad. Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Dang, Tapi, Morbi, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Panchmahal, Mahisagar, Dahod, Kheda and Anand are very likely to witness heavy rainfall at scattered places.
Gujarat Weather Update: All the districts of Gujarat have been placed under orange and yellow alert for very heavy and heavy rainfall on Monday. While on Tuesday orange alert will be replaced by yellow alert but weather alerts will remain in place. On June 25, all the districts are on yellow alert heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places with thunderstorms and lightning. Meteorological Department’s forecast indicates that monsoon is expected lash the state for coming few days.
