In the world of dating and reality television, MTV Splitsvilla has always held a special place. Over the years, the show’s popularity has continued to grow, and now, with its 16th season, it is returning once again with fresh twists and heightened excitement. This season, titled “Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa” (Love or Money), will showcase intense battles where contestants must choose between emotions and financial rewards.
The season is being hosted by Sunny Leone, who shared her thoughts on the show’s enduring appeal. She said, “Splitsvilla has always been special to me because it reflects how love and relationships evolve with every generation. Over time, not only has the mindset of contestants changed, but dating styles and the understanding of love have also transformed. This season will test emotions and relationships more than ever. Contestants will have to prove the strength of their bonds and friendships, while unexpected twists and strategic gameplay will constantly challenge them.”
This time, Karan Kundrra has joined the show as a co-host. Making his return to MTV after six years, Karan expressed his excitement, saying, “Being associated with the show feels like coming back home. Hosting Splitsvilla alongside Sunny Leone is an exciting experience, as she understands the show very well. I’m especially looking forward to seeing what the contestants choose when faced with the dilemma of money versus love.”
Adding to the drama, Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed will also be part of the season. Their role will be to challenge the contestants and create obstacles in the game. At every step, they will push participants into tricky situations, forcing them to rethink their decisions. This season will feature a total of 32 male and female contestants, all competing with strategy, intelligence, and emotional strength to claim victory.
Both Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra revealed that the show will air three times a week, offering viewers more drama, excitement, and entertainment than ever before. Each episode will bring new twists and surprises. MTV Splitsvilla X6 will premiere on January 9, airing at 7 PM on MTV and streaming on the OTT platform JioHotstar.
