Entertainment:
Talking about the year ahead, Chitrangda Singh says what excites her most about 2026 is variety“I’m not chasing the same kind of roles or formats anymore. I’m allowing myself to explore different worlds, different responsibilities, and different versions of myself as a creative person,” she shares.

Among her most anticipated projects is “Battle of Galwan,” a film inspired by one of India’s most significant recent events. Speaking about the project, Chitrangda says, “It’s a story that demands honesty and restraint.” She adds that telling stories rooted in real-life incidents comes with immense responsibility. “There is a certain awareness that comes with portraying stories inspired by real events, and I’m very conscious of that,” she explains.

Another major milestone for her this year is her entry into production, with a biopic currently in the works. Describing this transition, she says, “Stepping into production felt like a natural extension of my creative space.” She further adds, “There are some stories you don’t want to rush or dilute. Being involved as a producer allows me to protect the soul of the story and stay connected to why it needs to be told in the first place.”

Alongside this, Chitrangda is also expanding her global footprint through an international collaboration, while continuing to work across different formats in cinema. Reflecting on her current phase, she concludes, “I’ve reached a stage where intent matters more than speed. Whether it’s an international project or a Hindi film, the question for me is always the same—does it move me forward? Does it challenge me?”

With a balanced mix of acting, production, and global projects, 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year for Chitrangda Singh’s evolving creative journey.
