Delhi CM Rekha Gupta meets PM Modi at his residence

On Saturday, Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta had her first official meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi after assuming charge.The Prime Minister’s Office shared images from their discussion.Later, the newly sworn-in chief minister took to X to share more information about their meet.
“Today I paid a courtesy visit to the successful Prime Minister Honourable @narendramodi ji at the Prime Minister’s residence. Under your guidance and leadership, the double engine government of BJP is committed to transforming the dreams of Delhiites into a developed Delhi by following the path of public welfare and good governance,” she wrote.
At a grand ceremony in Ramlila Maidan on Thursday, first-time MLA Gupta, along with six ministers, was sworn in, marking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s first return to power in Delhi in more than 26 years.
In the recently concluded Delhi election, BJP secured 48 seats in the 70-member Assembly, dethroning Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which had been in power for a decade.
The newly-formed Delhi Cabinet, in its first meeting, approved the rollout of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, deliberated on the Mahila Samriddhi Yojna, and agreed to present 14 pending CAG reports in the upcoming Assembly session.
Addressing the media for the first time as chief minister, Rekha Gupta criticised the previous AAP government for not implementing Ayushman Bharat, depriving residents of essential healthcare benefits.
“The previous government had stalled the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented it across the country, and now we have approved it for Delhi,” she said.
