Amid War Tensions, Iran’s President Sends Message to Americans: “We Are Not Your Enemy”
Masoud Pezeshkian’s open letter challenges global narratives, calls for understanding beyond politics and conflict

Tehran, April 2: In a significant diplomatic gesture amid ongoing conflict, Masoud Pezeshkian has addressed an open letter to the people of the United States, emphasizing that Iran holds no hostility toward American citizens.
In his message, Pezeshkian strongly objected to the way Iran is often portrayed globally. He rejected claims that the country poses a threat to international security, stating that such narratives do not align with “historical truth.”
According to reports, the Iranian President clarified that the roots of conflict lie not with the people of the United States, but with political and military actions. He urged Americans to look beyond official narratives and reconsider how Iran is perceived on the global stage.
Pezeshkian further stressed that depicting Iran as a threat misrepresents reality and called for greater understanding, mutual respect, and stronger people-to-people connections between the two nations.
The letter comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions and ongoing military confrontations in the region. While raising concerns over U.S. actions in the Middle East, Pezeshkian also hinted at the possibility of diplomacy as a path forward, even as the conflict continues.
